"Our lives are an accumulation of the little things. To make your life yours, make the little things yours. Employ the little things in life to their potential, and you will live to your potential."
I'm Lotte. A London Girl, former Tar Heel, currently a Professional Footballer for Arsenal Women, Co-Founder of SunBite, and proud author of this blog. In short, though, I live a life fuelled by the little things.
I believe within each and everyone of us is an individual who's potential is waiting to be met. I strongly believe that by acknowledging the little things, applying them to our lives, and acting on or with them, that we can all fulfil our potential.
In this blog I will not highlight petty things like the pronunciation of names. (Although Lotte is pronounced Lo-tta, by the way.)
Instead, in the Lotte little things I will share some of the most easily accessed, yet bizarrely untapped little things in life - that have helped get me to where I am today, will help me to get to where I land tomorrow - and can help you to get to where you want to be in the future.
I made my professional debut aged 16 for Arsenal Women, I have captained England at a youth World Cup, played soccer at the University of North Carolina, founded a company aged 21 - but I know I still have not yet fulfilled my potential. Every day, through these big life experiences I remind myself to always acknowledge, appreciate, apply, and act on the little things.
Join me - open your eyes - and change your perspective to the way you see the little things that can have a not so little impact on your life!
